THS 101

So you’ve just joined THS, The Best Damn Group on the Board!!! Now what’s really going on around here? What are the rules, who are these people and
how the hell did we all get here?

As far as rules go, we try to keep it as simple as possible. We don’t really like to get bogged down in a bunch of B.S., unless we’re doing the B.S.ing on the
boards. But past experience shows we need to have a couple of rules to live by.

The Rules

Scoring: Is according to the ESPN’s Stock Car Challenge Game. Your score in THS matches your score in the ESPN game. If you think ESPN cheated you,
talk to them. If your score is posted differently from ESPN’s please contact Czechmate. He will investigate and make corrections if necessary. The G/L is
the final arbiter in any scoring dispute.

Teams: Your team must be in the group at the drop of the green flag. If get your panties in a bunch over some dispute and pulled your team from the
group and manage to win the week and you place your team back in the group, you’re not winning anything. You’re not in the group at the green flag you
are DQ’d for the week (aka, The Rio Rule). NO TEAM SWAPPING!!! If you place a different team in the group at any time during a segment you will be
DISQUALIFIED for the rest of the segment. The G/L is the final arbiter.

Dues: Dues are $20 per segment or $60 for the season. PayPal will be accepted, checks or money orders for dues may be mailed to the treasurer. Please
see the Treasurer's Forum on the Message Board for the snail mail address. Your dues must be received by the drop of the green flag for the first race of
each segment or at a time designated by the G/L. “The check is in the mail” won’t work. Sorry, no refunds allowed. The G/L is the final arbiter (see a
pattern here?).

Membership: Membership will be offered on an "invitation" basis only. All current member will automatically be considered for renewal with the following
exceptions;
A) Members who have been deemed as disruptive to the general flow of the group as a whole, or continually refuse to abide by an administrator's
warnings.
B) Those members who continually show disrespect to others by vicious verbal/written attacks or the posting of tasteless or vulgar images intended to
intimidate another member.

Basic yearly membership term will coincide with the beginning of the racing season and terminate with the final race of the season, and of course, the G/L
will be the final decider in any and all disputes. (the pattern continues)

All members must provide to the Treasurer, a valid mailing address and e-mail address, to insure adequate communications and prompt delivery of
winnings. It is the member's responsibility to notify the Treasurer if any changes occur.

Prizes: So it’s Monday morning and you just checked the SCC scores and you found out you won the week, or you’ve just found out you won the segment or
you have taken the Overall win for the year or have won the ROTY prize. How do you get your car as quickly as possible so you can snap a picture of it,
send it to the Webmaster and have it posted on the Trophy Page to rub all our noses in it?

You may use any vendor of your choosing including Raceworld.com, E-Bay or any number of online vendors. We have an agreement with White's Pit Stop
to provide cars for us at $60 (including shipping). Simply let the Treasurer know that you plan to use White's, and then call White's to let them know you
are the weekly winner. The Treasurer will confirm with White's, and your car will be shipped to you. It is the WINNER's responsibility to personally follow
up with the vendor or any special order/out-of-stock cars you may order. Remember that the prize package can not exceed $60 for weekly wins, including
shipping. If your request goes over the alloted amount, YOU will be responsible for paying the overage directly to the vendor, or if you prefer, we can
send you a check so that you may place the order on your own. It is preferred that you use an online vendor who has secure ordering. In this way the
treasurer can use the group’s debit card to order online, and get you your car in the quickest way (again, you do want to rub our noses in it, right?).

In most cases we know who has won on Monday. SCC makes their results official on Thursday. This gives you several days to think about your car and
where you want to buy it. Please provide the Treasurer with the link(s) to where your car(s) is by Friday. We want to get you your stuff ASAP. If we do
not hear from you Friday, expect to see an e-mail asking where you want a check sent. You don’t want to wait for us to get around to ordering, and we
don’t want to wonder what you want to do. We will no longer carry winnings into next year for payment of dues. If you do not wish to order a car we will
mail you a check.

Ties: So hotshot, you won the week... but wait, not so fast. There was another genius in the group with the same bright ideas as you and ran the same
team or ran a team that was just as good as yours and there was a tie score for the week. If this happens, and it does once or twice a year, the two of you
will compete the following week to decide the winner. Among the two (or more) that tied for the win the previous week, the winner will be determined by
the person with the highest score the following week.

That’s it as far as the rules go. Again, we like to keep it simple, and in any dispute the G/L will have the final say.

Not all members post on the THS or SCC Message Boards, some are content to just play the game and keep up with group affairs from a distance. This is
perfectly fine. Some who are of this nature are dedicated members who care about what happens in the group and keep up on group affairs as much as
any of us. Some have been here since the beginning. Others populate the THS or SCC boards frequently and are fully engaged in the groups time honored
tradition of Bashin’, BS’in and Bucket Fishin’.

Group chat is held every Tuesday night using the chat and message board link off the Home Page of this site. This is open to all members, so come and join
us on Tuesday nights.
